For an Arizona team that has improving on defense, I really like this pickup with the loss of Calvin Pace. Defensive end Travis LaBoy has that heart and energy that you love to see. Since his days playing for the Hawaii Warriors, the guy does not give up on plays and always seem to give it his all. Last year he played for the Tennessee Titans and 13 games in a reserve role coming in every few downs he got 6 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 1 interception. To really utilize his talents, the Cardinals need to use him at what he is good at and that is more speed rushing than power. Overall he should contribute effectively to the Cardinal defense.

The free pick tonight is for men’s NCAA college basketball in the Penn vs. Citadel match-up. Although Citadel has been blown out in it’s two losses by more than 20 points each outing, Penn has not any games period. Citadel faced two tough opponents in Southern Cal and South Carolina so comparing their match-up against Penn cannot be determined. Demetrius Nelson should keep Citadel close in the game, well under the 16 point spread. Our view, take Citadel plus 16 points.

Tonight in college football, it is a MAC game between the Ball State Cardinals and the Toledo Rockets. The line is Ball State minus 6 and the over at 70. My pick is Ball State plus the over because of several reasons. First ball state has a solid offense behind Nate Davis and Dante Love. The have lost two games in a row but to touch Big Ten schools. Ball State is the only MAC school to score more points than they have allowed which tells you there is no defense in the MAC and Toledo has one of the worst. Toledo is 0-3 against the spread this year and has gave up 52, 45 and 43 points on the road. The over has cashed in 8-1 in Toledo games. The lack of defense on both sides and the more powerful Ball State offense should definitely come out on top. Our bet is Ball State -6 and Over 70.
